Nikki Boyer has been singing, acting and performing since a very young age. She started working in television at the age of 15, hosting the "WB Kids Club" earning three Emmy Awards. She moved to LA from St. Louis, MO in '98 and began singing with "The Spirit Theory". She recently hosted a show on TLC called "Perfect Proposal" which lead to appearances on Si-TV, The Sharon Osborne Show, featured music on MTV and recent photo spread and interview in Stuff Magazine. In my own words: I have loved music ever since I can rememeber. I feel that music can change a mood, bring people together and be one of the strongest forces in the world. I hope that our music proves to be one of those forces. I have been singing with "The Spirit Theory" for about 6 years. When Blair and I met, we immediately connected and started making music. I am so thankful that we found each other, my life is so much fuller because of Blair and his guitar. As an actress and singer, I am constantly waiting for opportunities to "be heard". With "The Spirit Theory", I am given that chance every time I open my mouth and sing. I LOVE THAT!!! I began my entertainment career in St. Louis, MO doing shows in my basement that must have been brutally repetitive for my parents. Then, I started doing plays and musicals in high school and eventually landed a job hosting "The Kids Club" television show on the WB in St. Louis. In '98 I packed up my car and moved to LA and started finding acting and voice-over work. I recently hosted a show on TLC called "Perfect Proposal" which lead to appearances on Si-TV, the Sharon Osborne Show, featured music on MTV, a recent photo spread and interview in Stuff Magazine... which makes me look like a plastic doll... and goes against everything I sing about... but this is STILL HOLLYWOOD. I do what makes me happy. It took me a really long time to figure that out. When i moved to LA, I was searching for SOMETHING. I found nothing I thought I would, but everything I needed. I have found that place inside myself that allows me to be an artist as my occupation. That's my job... my purpose. I hope that our music makes your life a little better. I hope it inspires you! I dedicate this page to my Dad, Don Boyer. |
